The cup is an indispensable attribute for witchcraft.  Since ancient times, magicians have used sacral bowls during magical rituals.  Cups are necessary for offering to the Higher Powers and for preparing healing and love potions.

 For sacred rites, it is impossible to use kitchen utensils intended for domestic purposes.  Therefore, ritual goblets, along with the magic cauldron, knife and mirror, are important assistants to the practitioner during witchcraft.  They are stored away from prying eyes, as a rule, on the altar.

 Often the goblet is used during sacred holidays for communion with wine or water.  After the consecration of the drink, which is always carried out on the full moon, a magic knife is lowered into the bowl.  This is how a ritual of purification is performed, during which the liquid is filled with positive energy, which increases magical power.

 Ritual bowls in magic personify the Great Goddess, who gave birth to the Universe from chaos and emptiness.  This magical attribute symbolizes the water element.  Most often, for rituals, pure water is drawn into the goblet, which is an excellent energy conductor and enhances the practitioner's ability to foresee the future.
